In the game of Runescape your inventory or backpack will only hold a maximum of 28 items, but as you progress through the game you a great deal more items than 18 so the Runescape bank system was introduced. Also as you progress through the game you will begin to obtain more valuable items as well as accumulate more money but consider when you die in Runescape you only keep your there most valuable items you’d be well advised to keep your valuable items in a Runescape bank unless you are actively using them. Exceptions to this rule are when you have the prayer Protect Items activated when you die which allows you to keep an addition item that you wouldn’t have kept otherwise when you die. The other exception is when you have a skull above you head which you obtain when you attack another player in the wilderness in which case you lose all the items you are carrying unless you have protect items activated.
